The first hmR – Annual Meeting Celebrating Partnership, Innovation and the Future was held on June 30th at the Lisbon Oceanarium.
hmR’s seventh anniversary, and the partnerships with the companies it works with, was successfully celebrated at this event.
Among number of participants, the event included relevant actors in the pharmaceutical sector.
Ana Paula Martins, president of the Portuguese Association of Pharmacists’, opened the meeting by sharing the Association’s view on the current situation of the sector.
Representing CEFAR – Centre of Health Studies and Evaluation, Suzete Costa, analysed the past and the future of the Outpatient Pharmaceutical Market.
From Inframed’s DATS - Direction of Health Technology Assessment, Sónia Caldeira addressed Inframed’s perspective on the movement of the present entities, answering the question: "What can we (un) participate in by 2018?”
Alexandre Lourenço, Administrator of Coimbra University Hospital Centre and President of the Portuguese Hospital Administrators Association, analysed the trends and challenges that the pharmaceutical market will face in the future. Xavier Badia, Professor at the University of Barcelona, shared his perspective on the current challenges in the Iberian market.
On behalf of hmR, Carlos Mocho, Chief Business Development Officer and Mario Peixoto, Country Manager, closed the meeting which was followed by lively networking on the rooftop of the Oceanarium.
